So I bought these magazines out of frustration of my MAG magazines. For the price, MAG magazines are nice but they double stack after a few uses and that really irritates me when I try to do something cool. So I went off of a recommendation by a friend in Michigan and bought some G&G full metal magazines from Airsoft GI for $120.00.
Yes, the price is up there but you receive 10 magazines and at 12 dollars a magazine it is pretty much worth it.
Some Pros:
The look and feel are outstanding. In relation to a real m16 style magazine the ratio of size is almost perfect. These magazines are a lot bigger than the typical AEG magazine but the size makes them much easier to grab onto and handle. On top of that, the fact that they are metal is even greater.
The second pro to the G&G magazines are that the spring is so strong that the BBs never double stack. Now that is amazing.
The third pro is this little nub that pushes every BB into the chamber. That is right, there is never an expended round when using these magazines.
The Cons:
These magazines only hold 79 rounds so if you use full auto they go fast. Very very fast.
The size puts a lot of strain on your gear and they are much heavier than normal magazines. Its a realistic pro, but con on your gear if you use condor or cheaper clone gear.
That little nub sticks pretty far out of the magazine and I would be worried about it breaking in your dumb pouch. For safety its good to shove it back into the magazine but the problem is that it costs time on the reload.
Because they are G&G they are picky about what gun they want to fit into. They feed and fit, although snug, into my KWA very nicely.
Other than the few cons I give these magazine 4.5 out of 5.
