Spring Pistol Data.
Full credit for this thread goes to Delta on the MIA forums.
I have owned and tested many spring pistols, and often people ask me which one to buy. So I will post the data I collected from my tests for you to decide.
UHC berreta
Max indoor range: 90 feet
Outdoor Range: 70 feet
Accuracy: 25 feet/ 2 3/8" group 40 feet/ 4 1/4" group
(indoor tested the accuracy)
This gun is durable, but needs to be cocked quickly to prevent chamber jamming. The sights are slightly to the left and up, and aren't adjustable.
UHC desert Eagle:
Max indoor range: went further than I could mark, which is over 100 feet.
Max outdoor range: slight winds it flew over 100 feet as well fairly straight too using .12
Accuracy: 25 feet/ 7/8" group. 40 feet/ 2 3/4" group
indoor tested
Very nice gun. shoots .2's very nicely as well, and its best trait other than its performance is that it's virtually noiseless. Very nice gun.
TM Glock:
indoor range: can't measure it goes too far. Best guess AEG MP5 equal to this.
outdoor range: just over 175 feet not arched.
Accuracy: 25 feet/ 1 1/16" 40 feet/ 2 1/4" 75 feet/ 6 3/8"
This sidearm is the best I have seen. I would say this is definitely the best sidearm on the market. In spring guns that is.
KWC DE50:
indoor range: exceeds limit goes far
outdoor range: 180 feet
accuracy: 25 feet/ 3/4" 40 feet/ 3 1/2" 75 feet/ 8/3/8"
This is the next best to the glock, however it's loud and not as smooth or straight of a shot as the glock. Still a very worthy sidearm, but for the cash get the glock and a mag or two.
I have many other models but didn't post for either I haven't tested yet or don't feel they are worthy of even posting. I will list them so you can PM me with questions on them if you are considering buying.
HFC P99
HFC tac berreta with compensator
UHC USP
PT 111 millineum. (actually very small yet very good. better than a UHC berreta. listed with .12's but you need .2's with the hop up.)
UHC Ruger
TM berreta(same as glock almost exactly)
UHC CZ75
UHC tombraider
rifles
UHC MP5 SD3
HFC XM 177
L85 A1
HFC M16
UZI cheap brand it sucks
PS. Oh just so everyone knows if they were wondering the groups were 3 shot groups for all tests with recommended high grades for each gun.
New Test Data Results:
HFC P99:
indoor range: 75 feet
outdoor range: 60-75 feet (winds effect a lot)
accuracy: 25 feet/ 1 3/4" 40 feet/ varied alot best was 6 1/4"
This gun is heavy and durable but lacks major performance. Also The mag rattles bad making it noisy to carry. And in my opinion the second biggest flaw is that a knob you turn can lock the slide or not lock it, but either way the slide locks back almost every shot. Not recommended for anyone who will be skirmishing with their guns.
HFC Beretta 92 w/compensator and RIS rail:
indoor Range: 85 feet
outdoor range: 85 feet
accuracy: 25 feet/ 1 1/8" 40 feet/ 4/ 3/4"
Basically the gun is great in everyway except the shots flight. For some wicked reason even after the gun is broken in the BBs have this bad curve to the left. Its like firing a paintball when the barrel has paint in it making it go all over. Basically its rather consistent considering this but still takes lots of getting used too and .2's don't cure the curve either. Looks great though and the RIS can have added accessories. I would go UHC over this but if you like unigue looks more than performance this is your gun.
UHC USP and Tombraider
indoor range: 100+ feet
outdoor range: 100+ feet
accuracy: 25 feet/ 1" 40 feet/ 3 1/4"
overall very nice however you will notice that the hop up is a little strong for .12's so you get some extra lift. Still use the .12's because you sacrifice much performance with .2's in this particular gun. Nice buy durable. USP fans here it is unless you want the great performance then get the TM USP which is the same mechanically pretty much but fires .2's the same as the TM glock.
PT 111 millineum:
indoor range: 90 feet
outdoor range: 90 feet
accuracy: 25 feet/ 5/8" (very impressive) 40 feet/ 2 3/4" 75 feet: 7"
Very nice and so small it fits in pocket so you can still carry your normal sidearm. Only about $12 and is awesome. Virtually noisless when it fires. Its listed with use of .12's advertised but you will need .2's. the 12's go straight up. I would recommend this to absolutley everybody.
